DOTA and Basketball

 One morning while walking off to my next class, there's this group of men talking boldly on the street. I didn't really heard what they were talking but something really important struck me. I look upon on both my sides noticing that I don't have someone accompanying me and most importantly, I don't belong to a peer.
 Ever wonder how male peers on the street, school or even your neighborhood became the group they are today? Not so much to explain but you see, boys, especially the teenagers, can easily befriend someone on the same sex whom they can do the same activities with. And because the real men can communicate well through muscles and actions, such activities that use much of it are their best assets on establishing masculine peer groups.

 Out of all the activities that attract them, to prominent ones rise above all: DOTA All Stars, a widely played multi-player pc game and; Basketball, who doesn't really know anything about this sport, for real.
 Through my remembering, the DOTA game started some years back when I'm still in high school. Maybe, it's second year or rather third year. This game was only supposed to be a map made by some programmer on the commercially-successful pc game named Warcraft created by Blizzrad Entertainment. The catch here was, the map itself doesn't only bring back the excitement on playing the said game but gave a new level of gaming experience. Maxing  up to 10 players, each choose your preferred character or the so-called 'hero' and battle your heart out using items and weapons, different skills and combat strategies. It's like those imaginative games we play when we were still kids, except that our imaginations are portrayed by the computer.

 So basketball, who doesn't want to play this very familiar sport? A group only needs a ball, a court and some skills then they are good to go. All over the world, it's very popular even though not the most. It has its own spot on the Olympics and Asian games. There's also NBA in US whom exceptionally is one of the most prevalent among others, FIBA, and also PBA in our country. Almost everyone loves this sport not because it has sometimes cute players but they promote cooperation and friendship between each and every player.
 Then back to me my story again. I'm so not into these games because;
1. DOTA is said to be addictive and addiction to computer games will lead to poor eyesight and carpal tunnel syndrome.
2. DOTA is also said to destroy relationships with a girl. That is if you have one.
3. This game consumes much money because the longer you play in an internet café, the higher you pay.  (Some says the excitement can only be found on internet shops but who knows.)
4. Basketball is very strenuous and needs so much effort.
5. I have asthma so basketball is a no-no.
6. Basketball and DOTA needs teammates to be enjoyed enthusiastically but I don't have any so it's, realistically speaking, out of the paper at all.
